Top 5 Investing and Financial Management Apps in Guatemala - Q3 2021

During the third quarter of 2021, the top five investing and financial management applications in Guatemala exhibited varied performance metrics, according to data from Sensor Tower.

IQ Option – Trading Platform saw a fluctuating trend in weekly downloads, peaking at over 2.4K in late June and experiencing a gradual decline to around 1.1K by the end of September. Active users for the app remained relatively stable, starting at approximately 13K in late June, with minor fluctuations, and ending the quarter at around 10.7K.

Abra: Buy & Trade BTC & Crypto had a mixed quarter in terms of downloads. The app reached a peak of 2K downloads in early July, faced a significant drop mid-quarter, and then fluctuated before ending September with just over 150 downloads. Active users followed a similar trend, beginning at 3.5K in late June, peaking at 5.2K in early July, and closing the quarter at roughly 3K.

Chivo Wallet, launched in early September, showed a strong start. Weekly downloads surged from 951 in the first week to a peak of 2.7K by mid-September, before stabilizing around 1.9K. Active users also grew rapidly, starting at 264 and rising to nearly 6K by the end of the month.

Status - Gateway to Ethereum experienced a significant spike in downloads in mid-July, reaching over 2.2K, but then saw a sharp decline, with downloads dropping to as low as 54 by the end of September. Active users mirrored this trend, starting at 325 in mid-July, peaking at 719, and then decreasing to 72 by the end of the quarter.

Swipe Option had a relatively stable performance in terms of downloads, with a notable peak of 522 downloads in late August, before declining to 62 by the end of September. Active users increased steadily from 314 in late June to a peak of 788 in late August, before slightly declining to 378 by the end of the quarter.
